Herding
Taigakoira goes herding!
Finnish Lapphunds were bred as herding dogs and although we don't have too many reindeer in Australia our local sheep do quite nicely! There are a number of Lappies already undertaking herding trials and gaining herding titles, and now the next generation of Lappies and their owners are having fun with the sport.
The Taigakoira Lappies had immense fun recently at an Introduction to Herding Clinic, organised by the Finnish Lapphund Club of Victoria and held at Double K Herding in Nyora, Vic.
All Lappies who attended the fun day did very well, and quite a few (if not most!) would have passed their herding instinct tests on the day!
Some pics are below from the clinic - thanks to the FLCV for organising the day, and we look forward to coming back to do more herding!
